Bobby Brown Park offers 665 acres of outdoor recreation in Elbert County, Georgia, and access to the 71,100-acre Clarks Hill Lake (the second-largest constructed lake east of the Mississippi River). Near where the old town of Petersburg once thrived during the 1790s, the park is named in memory of Navy Lt. Robert T. Brown, who gave his life in WWII.

Camping, boating, fishing, and outdoor sports are just some of the activities you will enjoy. Formerly known as Bobby Brown State Outdoor Recreation Area, the park was obtained in 2015 through a lease agreement with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. The park is operated by the Elbert County Government through Elbert County Parks and Recreation.

Public Wi-Fi is available in many areas of the park. The Wi-Fi is password-protected and the password is available at the Park Office. Wi-Fi is available at the Danny Burt Yurt Village, Broad River Side Campground, Savannah River Side Campground, Day Use Area, Danny Guthrie Pavilion, Petersburg Cabin, and the Park Office area.

The Main Park Gate is now in operation. The gate closes at 11 p.m. each night and re-opens at 5 a.m. each morning. When leaving the park after 11 p.m., please pull up to the gate slowly and it will open automatically to exit. The entrance code for our patrons re-entering the park after
11 p.m. can be obtained from your Camp Host or the Park Office.
